This beautiful shawl has been handknitted with my handspun yarn. The yarn in this shawl is a blend of handspun 40% Alpaca 40% Merino Wool 20% Silk. The colour is black/grey and white to give an overall charcoal grey with white flecks. It is the perfect size and weight to wrap around your neck to keep the weather out or just decorative over a jacket/jumper!

Washing shawls before use is not required, as I care for them here before they leave me. When you do come to wash your shawl make sure to be gentle with it. This shawl should last you many years of gentle use. A tepid hand wash is generally all that is necessary, squeeze dry and then dry flat (you may also roll in a towel to get the worst of the water out). Please make sure to not rub or agitate the shawl… as wool can felt easily! If you are using soap on your wool, make sure to use PH Neutral soap as acidic soaps can leach colours and ultimately bleach natural shades of wool. This is not a result of poor dyeing, but instead a result of the acid destroying the fibre (which will cause wear over time).
