Shawl Handknitted With Luxurious Handspun Yarn - Organic Suri Alpaca Organic Merino Wool - Raspberry Ripple SG1

This luxurious shawl has been handknitted with my handspun yarn. Beautifully soft undyed Organic Suri Alpaca for the winter white stripes and a fine Organic Merino for the pink/white stripes. Suri Alpaca is not often used and is not so readily available but it is pure luxury for warmth and softness. This is the perfect size and weight to wrap around your neck to keep the weather out or just decorative over a jacket/jumper! The colour is a winter white and raspberry ripple pink/white strips.

• handspun Organic Suri Alpaca and Organic Merino Wool

Washing shawls before use is not required, as I care for them here before they leave me. When you do come to wash your shawl make sure to be gentle with it. This shawl should last you many years of gentle use. A tepid hand wash is generally all that is necessary, squeeze dry and then dry flat (you may also roll in a towel to get the worst of the water out). Please make sure to not rub or agitate the shawl… as wool can felt easily! If you are using soap on your wool, make sure to use PH Neutral soap as acidic soaps can leach colours and ultimately bleach natural shades of wool. This is not a result of poor dyeing, but instead a result of the acid destroying the fibre (which will cause wear over time).
