Hand Woven Scarf – 90% Organic Falkland Merino Wool 10% Silk – Black and White Deflected Double Weave HW30

This scarf has been hand woven by me and is made using 90% Organic Falkland Merino Wool 10% Silk yarn. It is the perfect size and weight to tie around your neck, double up and loop etc. to keep the weather out!

Scarf details are:-

• approximately 160 x 19 centimetres, 63 x 7.5 inches

• 90% Organic Falkland Merino Wool 10% Silk

• weave structure is "deflected double weave" ie. the 2 colours work completely independent of each other.

Washing scarves before use is not required, as I care for them here before they leave me. When you do come to wash your scarf make sure to be gentle with it. A woven scarf should last you many years of gentle use. A tepid hand wash is generally all that is necessary, squeeze dry and then dry flat (you may also roll in a towel to get the worst of the water out). Please make sure to not rub or agitate the scarf… as wool felts easily! If you are using soap on your wool, make sure to use PH Neutral soap as acidic soaps can leach colours and ultimately bleach natural shades of wool. This is not a result of poor dyeing, but instead a result of the acid destroying the fibre (which will cause wear over time).
